Delete Your Puutelista Account

You can delete your Puutelista account and the personal data linked to it at any time, either in the app or by email. This page explains both ways, what is deleted, and what is kept and for how long.

Delete in the App

• Open Puutelista and sign in to the account you want to delete.
• Tap the gear icon at the top of the home screen to open Settings.
• Under Privacy & Data, tap Delete Account.
• Confirm with Delete My Account.

In short: Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. You are signed out right away. If you want a copy of your data first, use Settings → Privacy & Data → Export My Data before deleting.

Delete Without the App

If you no longer have the app, send an email to support@puutelista.app from the email address of your Puutelista account, with the subject "Delete my account". If you signed in with Apple using a hidden email address, tell us the name on the account and we will confirm it with you. We may ask you to confirm the request before deleting anything, and we handle the request within one month.

What Happens After the Request

• Immediately: the account is scheduled for deletion, you are signed out, and the push notification tokens of your devices are removed.
• For 30 days: you can change your mind by signing in again and choosing Restore Account.
• After 30 days: your account and personal data are deleted permanently. This cannot be undone.

What Is Deleted

• Your account: email address, name, profile picture link and sign-in details (password hash, link to your Google or Apple account).
• Your settings, plan and subscription details stored on your profile.
• Photos you have added.
• Your chat messages, reactions and notifications.
• Your group memberships. Groups where you are the only admin are deleted together with their lists, items and photos.
• Push notification tokens.
• Voice assistant usage records and transcripts. Transcripts are also deleted automatically 90 days after each voice session.

What Is Kept

• Items in shared groups: items you added to a group that has another admin stay on that group's lists, without your name, because they belong to the group's shared lists.
• Purchase records: deleting the account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep records of purchases as their legal and accounting obligations require, under their own retention periods.
• Crash reports and analytics events: these do not contain your name or email address and are deleted within the retention limits of Sentry and PostHog. You can ask us to delete events linked to your user ID.
• Backups: deleted data can remain in our hosting provider's encrypted backups for a short time until the backups are replaced.
